Do I need an appointment?
An appointment is recommended, especially if you would like help choosing a diamond, designing a bespoke piece or understanding your options within a particular budget. DBP is built around a private consultation experience, so an appointment gives the team time to understand your style, occasion, priorities and any technical questions. You can also browse the website first, then book an appointment when you are ready for guided advice or simply to purchase your perfect piece.
How do I contact Diamonds by Pelvi?
You can contact DBP through the contact form on the website, by email at info@diamondsbypelvi.com, by clicking on the WhatsApp icon, or through the brand's social media pages. If your question is about an existing order, include your order number where possible so the team can assist you quickly. For a custom design or engagement ring consultation, booking an appointment is usually the best next step.
Where are your diamonds sourced?
DBP focuses on certified diamonds and responsible sourcing. For engagement rings and custom diamond pieces, the team presents suitable diamond options based on your preferences, budget and quality priorities. Where certification applies, diamonds are supported by recognised international grading laboratories such as GIA or IGI. If you would like details about a specific stone's origin, grading report or sourcing pathway, DBP can walk you through it during consultation before you make a decision.
Where is your jewellery crafted?
DBP jewellery is crafted in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, by skilled artisans. The process is designed to balance client-led design with technical guidance, from understanding your idea to refining the design, sourcing the right diamonds and bringing the final piece to life. For bespoke pieces, the team explains the manufacturing steps during your consultation so you know what to expect.
Are your diamonds ethically sourced?
DBP aims to work with responsibly sourced diamonds and supports clients with recognised certification wherever applicable. Certification from laboratories such as GIA or IGI gives important information about the diamond and helps protect the client from unclear or unsupported claims. If ethical sourcing is a key priority for your purchase, mention this during your consultation so the team can guide you through suitable options and documentation before you approve your diamond.
Do you design jewellery in-house?
Yes. DBP offers a guided design process where our designers helps translate your idea or vision into a finished diamond jewellery piece. During custom design, consultants and designers work with you on the concept, diamond choice, proportions and practical details before production begins.
Do you offer bespoke jewellery?
Yes. Bespoke jewellery is one of DBP's core services. Clients can create engagement rings, bridal pieces, mangalsutras, rings, necklaces, bracelets and other fine diamond jewellery through a personalised consultation. The process usually begins with your style, budget, diamond preferences and design inspiration, followed by diamond sourcing, design refinement and production. If a design is not feasible exactly as imagined, the team can suggest practical alternatives that protect both the beauty and durability of the piece.

BUYING DIAMONDS
▼
How do I choose the right engagement ring?
Start with your wearer's style, lifestyle and the feeling you want the ring to carry. Diamond shape, setting, metal, carat, colour, clarity and budget all matter, but they differ for every client. DBP helps you compare these choices in a practical way so you can balance beauty, quality and value. You can browse our engagement ring collection and then book a consultation for more personalised guidance.
How much should I spend on an engagement ring?
There is no fixed amount you must spend on an engagement ring. A realistic budget should reflect your comfort, priorities and the type of piece you want to create. At DBP, clients can explore website pricing, compare diamond and setting options, and then discuss how to make the most of their budget during a consultation. The goal is not to overspend, but to choose a ring that feels meaningful, well made and financially sensible.
What diamond shape is most popular?
Round brilliant diamonds remain one of the most popular choices because they are classic, versatile and known for strong sparkle. Oval, emerald, pear, cushion and radiant shapes are also loved by clients who want something more personal or modern. The best shape is not only about trend; it should suit the wearer's hand, personal style and preferred setting. DBP can show you different shapes and explain how each one affects appearance, value and design options.
Which diamond sparkles the most?
A well-cut round brilliant diamond is usually known for the strongest sparkle because its proportions are designed to maximise light return. However, sparkle also depends on cut quality, symmetry, polish and how the diamond is set, not only on shape. DBP keeps a close eye on cut, symmetry, polish and fluorescence when presenting diamond options, especially for solitaire engagement rings. During consultation, the team can help you compare brilliance, size and overall look of different diamonds side by side.
What matters more: cut or carat?
Cut usually has the greatest impact on how lively and bright a diamond looks, while carat tells you the diamond's weight. A larger diamond with weaker cut quality can appear less beautiful than a slightly smaller diamond with excellent proportions, symmetry and polish. DBP helps clients decide where to prioritise budget by looking at the full picture: cut, carat, colour, clarity, certification, design and what will look best once the diamond is set.
What diamond clarity should I choose?
Clarity should be chosen in balance with the diamond's size, shape, cut and your budget. DBP generally maintains quality standards and does not usually drop below SI clarity for white diamonds, while custom clients may have specific requests where the team can advise case by case. The aim is to choose a diamond that looks beautiful to the eye, is supported by proper certification and gives you the best value for the piece you are creating.
How do I know my diamond is genuine?
The clearest way to know your diamond is genuine is to buy from a trusted jeweller and request recognised certification where applicable. DBP uses external international grading laboratories such as GIA or IGI for certified diamonds, which helps confirm the diamond's key characteristics. The team can also explain the grading report so you understand what you are purchasing, including the diamond's cut, colour, clarity, carat and any relevant notes.
Do all diamonds come with certification?
Yes they do. DBP's certified diamond pieces are supported by external grading laboratories such as GIA or IGI, and DBP solitaire engagement rings are GIA certified unless a client requests otherwise during a custom order process. Certification can depend on the type of diamond, piece and custom brief, so the best approach is to ask the team what documentation applies to the exact diamond you are considering before purchase.
What certification do you provide?
DBP refers to recognised international grading laboratories such as GIA and IGI. For solitaire engagement rings, DBP states that GIA certification is provided unless otherwise requested by the client during a custom order process. During the consultation process, our team will guide what each certificate means and how to compare reports, because certification is there to support your confidence, not overwhelm you with technical language.
Are natural diamonds better than lab-grown diamonds?
Natural and lab-grown diamonds can both be beautiful, durable and suitable for fine jewellery, but they differ in origin, rarity and price. DBP specialises in bespoke natural diamonds, while its sister brand, Lab Jewel Nation, focuses on lab-grown diamonds for clients who want a more accessible route into diamond jewellery. The better choice depends on your priorities, so DBP recommends speaking with our consultants before deciding.
Which diamond offers the best value?
The best-value diamond is the one that balances visual beauty, quality, certification and budget in a way that suits your piece. Sometimes that means prioritising cut and sparkle over carat. Sometimes it means selecting a slightly warmer colour or practical clarity grade so the overall design feels more generous. DBP's consultation process is designed to help clients understand these trade-offs clearly, rather than simply pushing a standard response, each client will recognise value in something different.

DIAMOND EDUCATION
▼
What are the 4Cs of a diamond?
The 4Cs are cut, colour, clarity and carat. Cut affects how well a diamond reflects light, colour describes how colourless or warm the diamond appears, clarity refers to natural inclusions or marks, and carat measures the weight of a diamond. DBP uses the 4Cs strategically to help clients stretch their budget intelligently. The right balance depends on your priorities, whether that is sparkle, size, whiteness, rarity or overall value.
Why is cut considered the most important of the 4Cs?
Cut is often considered the most important of the 4Cs because it has the greatest effect on sparkle and light performance. A diamond can have strong colour and clarity grades, but if the cut is weak it may not look as lively. For round brilliant diamonds, cut grade is especially important. DBP also considers symmetry, polish and fluorescence when reviewing diamond options, so the final stone performs beautifully once set.
What is diamond fluorescence?
Diamond fluorescence is the glow some diamonds show when exposed to ultraviolet light. In many diamonds it has little visible impact, but in some stones stronger fluorescence can affect appearance. DBP checks fluorescence as part of the wider diamond review, especially for engagement rings, because the goal is to choose a stone that looks beautiful in real life, not only on paper. If fluorescence appears on a certificate, a consultant can explain whether and how it matters for that diamond.
What is diamond symmetry?
Diamond symmetry refers to how precisely a diamond's facets are aligned. Better symmetry helps light move through the diamond more evenly, which can support brilliance and overall beauty. It is one of the quality details DBP considers when presenting solitaire diamond options, along with cut, polish, fluorescence and certification. Symmetry should be understood alongside the full diamond, not as a single isolated grade.
What is diamond polish?
Diamond polish describes the smoothness and finish of a diamond's facets after cutting. A high polish grade helps the surface interact with light cleanly, while weaker polish can affect the diamond's appearance under magnification or in certain lighting. DBP reviews polish as part of its quality standards, especially for solitaire engagement rings, so clients receive diamonds that meet the level of finish expected from a fine jewellery piece.
What is diamond certification?
Diamond certification is an independent grading report that records important information about a diamond, including its carat, colour, clarity, cut details and other characteristics. Reports from recognised laboratories such as GIA or IGI help clients compare diamonds with more confidence. Certification is not meant to replace how a diamond looks to you, but it gives an important layer of transparency and assurance when making a meaningful purchase.
What's the difference between GIA and IGI?
GIA and IGI are both recognised diamond grading laboratories, but they are often used in slightly different parts of the market. DBP can help you understand the report rather than expecting you to compare technical details alone.
How are diamonds graded?
Diamonds are graded by assessing measurable and visible characteristics such as cut, colour, clarity and carat, along with other details including polish, symmetry and fluorescence. Independent laboratories examine the diamond and issue a report that records these characteristics. DBP uses certification and consultant guidance together, because two diamonds with similar grades can still look different in person. The final choice should consider both the report and the beauty of the stone.
How do I compare two diamonds?
To compare two diamonds, look beyond carat weight and price. Start with certification, then compare cut, colour, clarity, measurements, polish, symmetry, fluorescence and how each stone looks for your chosen design. A diamond with a slightly lower grade in one area may still be the better choice if it looks brighter or gives better value. DBP consultants can explain these trade-offs clearly so you can make a confident decision.

CUSTOM JEWELLERY
▼
How does the custom design process work?
DBP's custom design process begins with a consultation where the team gets to know your vision, style, budget and occasion. From there, the team helps with design direction, diamond sourcing and technical choices before moving into production. Please click on the link below to know more:https://diamondsbypelvi.com/custom-designing/
Can I bring my own design?
Yes. You can bring your own design idea, sketch, inspiration image or reference. Our consultant will review it with you and advise what can be achieved beautifully and securely within the brand's manufacturing capabilities. If a design needs adjustment for durability, stone setting or wearability, we will guide you through suitable alternatives so the final piece still feels personal while being practical enough to wear.
Can you recreate an existing design?
Yes, we can work from an existing design reference or image and create a piece inspired by what you love, while guiding you on what is technically possible and appropriate for your budget. We may also recommend changes to proportions, stone size, setting or metal so the piece is secure, wearable and aligned with your personal style. Book an appointment using the link below to explore your options:https://diamondsbypelvi.com/book-an-appointment/
Can you redesign inherited jewellery?
DBP may be able to help redesign inherited jewellery, depending on the condition of the existing piece, the stones involved and the new design you have in mind. Because sentimental jewellery needs careful handling, this should be discussed directly with the team. A consultation allows us to understand what you want to preserve, what can be reused safely, and whether a new design is the best way to honour the original piece.
How long does custom jewellery take?
Custom jewellery usually takes around four to six weeks, depending on the design, diamond sourcing, production requirements and the complexity of the piece. Simpler items may take less time, while more detailed or highly specific custom work can require longer. We recommend discussing your date, occasion or proposal timeline at the start of the consultation so the team can advise what is realistic before you approve the design.
Will I see CAD renders before production?
For custom designs, we take you through the design development stage before production begins. CAD renders or design visuals help you understand proportions, setting details and the overall look before the piece is made. This stage is important because it gives you a chance to review the design, ask questions and feel confident that the final piece reflects your vision.
Can I make changes after approving the design?
For custom items, we can accommodate design changes for up to 24 hours after design approval has been received. After that, work begins quickly and changes may no longer be possible without affecting production, timing or cost. If you are unsure about any detail, it is best to raise it before approval so we can guide you calmly and finalise the piece with confidence.
Do you offer engraving?
Yes. DBP offers engraving free of cost, with a limited character count depending on the item you choose. If you would like engraving, mention it during your consultation or add the details in your order notes where applicable. The team can advise whether the wording, placement and character count will work for the specific piece.
Can I choose my own diamond?
Yes. For solitaire engagement rings and custom pieces, we give clients visibility over diamond options based on the selected specification and budget. Once payment is received for an eligible solitaire engagement ring, the client is provided with diamond options so they can stay involved in the final selection. This reflects DBP's focus on transparency and making sure clients feel in control of the diamond they choose.
Can I customise every detail?
DBP offers a high level of customisation, including diamond shape, carat, colour, clarity, metal, setting style, proportions and engraving where suitable. The team will also advise on what is technically secure and visually balanced, because not every idea works exactly as imagined once it becomes fine jewellery. The goal is to protect your personal vision while making sure the finished piece is beautifully crafted and wearable.

BUDGET & INVESTMENT
▼
Can I buy a beautiful ring under AED 5,000?
DBP has no minimum spend and encourages clients to explore the website to understand how far their budget can stretch. For an engagement ring under AED 5,000, options may depend on design, diamond size, quality, metal and current availability. The best route is to browse the collection, then book a consultation so the team can advise what is realistic without compromising the quality or wearability of the piece.
What can I buy for AED 10,000?
Around AED 10,000 can open up a wider range of natural diamond jewellery options, depending on the design and diamond specifications. DBP's budget guide positions AED 5,000 to AED 10,000 as suitable for beautiful 18K gold rings with classic designs set with natural diamonds, while AED 10,000 to AED 20,000 can allow more unique settings and custom band styles. Book a consultation with us using the link below to explore your options.https://diamondsbypelvi.com/book-an-appointment/
What's a realistic engagement ring budget?
A realistic engagement ring budget is the amount that feels comfortable for you while allowing the piece to meet your priorities. In the UAE, budgets can vary widely depending on diamond specifications, design complexity and level of customisation. We recommend booking a consultation with us for expert guidance to balance the details without exceeding your comfort level.https://diamondsbypelvi.com/book-an-appointment/
Is a diamond jewellery purchase an investment?
Diamond jewellery should first be viewed as a meaningful luxury purchase, not a guaranteed financial investment. Natural diamonds carry rarity and long-standing market recognition, but resale value depends on many factors including the stone, certificate, design, market conditions and buyer demand. DBP's role is to help you choose wisely within your budget so the piece gives lasting personal value, beauty and confidence.
How do I maximise value within my budget?
To maximise value, decide which qualities matter most before you shop. Some clients prioritise size, while others care more about sparkle, colour, clarity or a detailed setting. DBP helps you compare the 4Cs strategically so your budget goes towards what you will actually notice and enjoy. A well-cut diamond, thoughtful setting and suitable metal can often create a more beautiful result than simply choosing the highest carat weight.
